Unexpected – "How God Takes Our Surprises…"
Unexpected – How God takes the Unexpected Negatives and turns them into Undeniable Positives.
1 Corinthians 15:14 – And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.
2 Corinthians 5:15 (MSG) – [Jesus] included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own.
Colossians 1:16 – Everything, absolutely everything…got started in Christ and finds its purpose in him.
Ephesians 1:11-12 (MSG) – (11) It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for… (12) …part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
1. Jesus Carried My Sin and Failure
Ephesians 1:19-20 – (19) I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great God’s power really is to help those who believe him. (20) It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead!
2. Jesus Created a Family for Me!
Ephesians 2:14, 19 (LB/NCV) – (14) Christ has made peace between Jews and Gentiles by making us all one family, breaking down the wall of hostility that separated people. (19) Now we are no longer considered foreigners or outsiders, but we all can be fellow citizens and members of God’s family!
Acts 10:35 (MSG) – It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from – if you want God and are ready to do as He says, the door is open!
3. Jesus Conquered FEAR for Me!
The phrase FEAR NOT is mentioned 365 times in the Bible.
That’s ONE “FEAR NOT” for EVERY DAY of the year.
Matthew 28:9-10 – (9) And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him. (10) Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid!”
Hebrews 2:14-15 (NLT) – (14) Jesus became flesh and blood by being born in human form. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. (15) Only in this way could He [Jesus] deliver those who have lived all their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
2 Corinthians 1:8-10 – (8) We were really crushed, we were overwhelmed, and we feared we would never live through it. (9) We saw how powerless we were to help ourselves. But that was good, for then we put everything into the hands of God who alone could save us, for he can even raise the dead! (10) And God did help us, and he saved us… and we expect him to do it again, and again!
2 Peter 1:2-3 – (2) As you get to know Jesus better, (3) he will give you, through his great power, everything you need for living a truly good life.
2 Corinthians 4:18 – We don’t focus on the troubles we see right now. Intead, we look forward to what we don’t see yet; for the troubles that we see now are temporary, but the joys that will come will last forever.
Jesus came out of the grave by Himself, but not for Himself.
1 Corinthians 2:8 – None of the princes of this world knew: for had they know it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
2 Corinthians 4:18 – So we don’t look at the troubles we can see; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
Today I want to boldly declare that I believe in Jesus. I believe He came back from the grave. I believe He has prepared a place for me in Heaven. Because He rose from the dead, I will experience unexpected victory in my life.
Today I declare that I am a child of the Most High God, He is alive, and He gives me new life. I am an overcomer, I can do all things through Christ, and I am experiencing unexpected victory in every area of my life in Jesus Name.
