5 Benefits of Worshipping Together

5 Benefits of Worshipping Together

Psalm 34:1-3 (NKJV) – (1) I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. (2) My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. (3) Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.

1.  Serving One Another

John 13:12-15 (NIV) – (12) When he had finished washing their feet, he asked “Do you understand what I have done for you?”… (14) Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. (15) I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”

It’s hard for praise and negativity to use the same voice.

1 Peter 4:10 (NIV) – Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.

2.  Encouraging One Another

John 14:1 (NIV) – Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.

The enemy’s chief goal is to keep us from doing what we were created to do.

Hebrews 3:13 (NIV) – But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

3.  Producing With One Another

John 15:5 (NIV) – I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Deuteronomy 32:30 (NIV) – …one man will chase a thousand… two put then thousand to flight…

4.  Protecting One Another

John 16:1 (NIV) – All this I have told you so that you will not go astray.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (Msg) – (9) It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. (10) And if one falls down, the other helps, but if there’s no one to help, tough! (11) Two in a bed warm each other. Alone, you shiver all night. (12) By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.

5.  Healing One Another

John 17:1, 9 (NIV) – (1) After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed… (9) “I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me…”

James 5:16 (NIV) – Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

WE is always better than ME.
