1. You Will Have Surprises
1 Peter 4:12-14 – (12) Don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you. (13) But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy. (14) If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed; because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

You have to learn how to look at a storm.

2 Corinthians 4:17a – For this light momentary affliction is producing and preparing for us…
3. Beauty Comes From Difficulty
2 Corinthians 4:17b – For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]!
4. When God Restores, The End is Better Than the Beginning
Psalm 84:10 – Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.
Job 1:21b – … he even says, “The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!”
Job 42:10 – … the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before!
