Getting Past What You Can't Get Over

Getting Past What You Can't Get Over

We can’t dwell on the pain of the past – we have to look to the future.

Isaiah 43:18-19 – (18) Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past… it is nothing compared to what I’m going to do! (19) For I’m going to do a brand new thing. I have already begun! Don’t you see it? I will make a road through the wilderness of the world for my people to go home, and create rivers for them in the desert!

What has happened TO YOU does not have to define you for the rest of your life.

If you don’t release your past, you’ll never grasp your future.

Luke 22:61-62 – (61) At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” (62) And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly.

You Can’t Change Your Past; But God Can Change Your Future!!!

Mark 16:7 – But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

John 21:15 – After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John…”

John 21: 15-17 – (15) After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him. (16) Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. (17) A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.”

God is more concerned with your healings than your feelings.

3 Lies the Enemy Wants You to Believe

1.  You Are UNFORGIVABLE

2.  You Are UNLOVABLE

3.  You Are USELESS

God will never throw you away. He will make a way, because He is the Way.
