How to Step Out of the Past
Acts 3:1-6 (KJV) – (1) Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer… (2) And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; (3) When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked alms (4) And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, “Look on us.” (5) And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. (6) Then Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
2 Corinthians 6:2 (NLT) – For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is NOW. TODAY is the day of salvation.
Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) – (18) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. (19) See, I am doing a new thing!…”
Don’t dwell on the past – God’s doing something NEW for you.
Colossians 2:14 (NLT) – He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
God has cancelled the charges against you.
There is NOTHING between you and your miracle!!
Psalm 119:126 (NLT) – Lord, it is time for you to act, for these evil people have violated your instructions.
(KJV) It is time for thee, Lord, to work:
When you see people disregarding God and His Word, that is not a time to digress, or to be depressed.
That’s the time to reach up in expectation and call on God to work on your behalf.
Romans 8:17 – …and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…
As joint heirs, we have a double claim to everything in heaven.

3 Ways to Step Out of Your Past
1. Believe God has prepared blessings for you out of this world
1 Corinthians 2:9 – No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.
2. Remember, God will never forget you, nor abandon you
Hebrews 13:5 – …For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
Deuteronomy 4:31 – For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers, which He swore to them by oath.
Psalm 37:25 – I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begin for bread.
Hebrews 6:10 – For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
3. Get up, and act as if you’ve already received
“FAITH it till you make it”
Mark 10:50 (NLT) – When he heard Jesus was coming…Bartimaeus threw aside his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.
