Luke 21:25-28 (KJV) – (25) And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (26) men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. (27) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (28) And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
ELISHA AND HIS SERVANT
Open His Eyes!
2 Kings 6:15-17 (ESV) – (15) When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, BEHOLD, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” (16) He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (17) Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
THE BOOK OF REVELATION
The Call is to Look Up, not be Fixated on the Events on Earth
Revelation 1:9-10 (ESV) – (9) I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was o the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. (10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet.
Revelation 4:1-2 (ESV) – (1) After this I looked, and BEHOLD, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” (2) At once I was in the Spirit, and BEHOLD, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.
