Power In The Pause
Psalm 3:1-8 (NKJV) – (1) Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. (2) Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” Selah
PAUSE and remember the many times God has HELPED you.
When David began to THINK about God’s help, he couldn’t help but THANK God!
Psalm 3:3 – But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.
Psalm 3:4 – I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah
PAUSE and remember when God HEARD you, and you experienced real REST in His Presence.
Psalm 3:5 – I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.
Sometimes knowing God hears you, knows you, and loves you – as well as getting a good night’s sleep – is all you need to feel like you can conquer the world.
Psalm 3:6 – I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.
When you can trust His Presence, you can trust His justice.
Psalm 3:7 – Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone; You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Romans 12:19 – Dear friends, never take revenge. leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD.
Psalm 3:8 – Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah
PAUSE and remember, your BELONGING and BLESSING are in Jesus alone.
You have to look outside of this world to see the salvation and redemption of this world.
